On Tuesday morning, bright and early, I leave for Guatemala. I am going to fly to Miami and then I will meet my group at the airport. We will then fly to Guatemala City.
Our rough itinerary is:
fly to Guatemala city --> Finca Nueva Alianza (a locally run farm co-op) --> San Antonio Palopo, a village at Lago de Atitlan (we will have our first week long home stay here) --> Tikal --> to another small village of Pachaj (for our second home stay) --> we will then backpack to Lago de Atitlan where we will spend a few more days --> we wills spend our final night in Antigua --> fly to Miami from Guatemala City
